About the Role
The Pharmacist Assistant will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care within their scope of practice, ensuring the smooth operation of the dispensary, and maintaining compliance with Clicks Group Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role is permanent, with market-related remuneration, and forms part of the company’s Employment Equity initiatives.

Key Job Objectives

• Deliver high standards of customer service and patient care.
• Manage stock control and dispensary administration efficiently.
• Ensure accurate compounding and repacking of medicines.
• Provide general health and wellness advice to customers.
• Maintain housekeeping and effective merchandise display.
• Support operational requirements as needed.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Matric with Mathematics.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Pharmacist Assistant, at either Qualified, Post Basic, or Learner Basic level.

Skills and Knowledge Required

• Strong product knowledge, including over-the-counter (OTC) and health aisle products.
• Understanding of SAPC regulations and relevant pharmaceutical laws.
• High level of customer service orientation.
• Teamwork and strong ethical practice.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
• Basic numeracy skills and computer literacy, including MS Office and business operating systems.
