Naledi Moleo Exits Newzroom Afrika and Here Is Why. In February 2024, Naledi Moleo was announced as one of the new faces who joined Newzroom Afrika. At the time, the channel decided to take a fresh approach for the new year as it marked its 5th birthday.
Naledi, together with Aldrin Sampear were announced as the new AM Report anchors. In addition Andee Mahamba became the Sports Anchor, while seasoned anchor Iman Rappetti too over Newsfeed AM. Michelle Craig was trusted to bring a fresh take to Daytime Update followed by Stephen Grootes who keeps a steady hand on the Newsfeed PM slot. Grootes carried on as the anchor of The Pulse.
After over one and a half years with the channel, Naledi has called it quits. The news anchor has left Newzroom Afrika to explore other opportunities, that have come her way. She however, did not share in detail, where exactly, she is going. Just a month ago, Naledi’s former colleague Aldrin also left the channel to join the Department of Tourism. Could this be a new route for her, quitting journalism? Only time will tell.
Goodbyes are tough, but Naledi has nothing but gratitude for the support she got from viewers during her stay at the channel. She also thanked the Newzroom Afrika management and everyone who took part in making all her shows a success.
