Melino’s Woman’s Month Charity Breakfast Hike Becomes A Success. When most of his housemates from Big Brother Mzansi Season 5 are chasing fame, Melino King Mothei is all about acts of service. showed how selfless of a person he is, when he returned the R250k, back to the Big Brother Mzansi grand prize.
In March, the reality show star and radio personality, launched the ‘Let’s Feed 1000 Mouths With Melino’ Charity Drive. This was a way for him, to show appreciation to those who voted for him while he was still in the house. His first activity was on Saturday 29th March at Majola street, Orlando West, where he gave away a 1000 boerewors rolls and drinks. The event was such a success, and BBM Season 5 housemate like Bonnie Bee and Luzuko came to support him.
Melino’s good deeds did not end there. During Easter holidays, he gave away Easter eggs, at some malls, putting a smile on the faces of the shoppers. Immediately after that Melino started his Sanitary Pads Drive. His aim is to donate thousands sanitary pads to females in need out there. This has seen a number of people contribute pads, so the initiative can e a success.
As August is Woman’s Month, Melino, decided to do more for the ladies. He recently organized a Breakfast Hike at Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve. The entrance fee was sanitary pads, which of course will be donated to the right people. Although, Melino is not as popular as some other housemates, it was heartwarming to see people come through to support him.
