Just a few years back, Carol Bouwer’s son, and only child Danté, graduated from the esteemed Bayes Business School at City University of London. The graduation ceremony was held at the Barbican and Carol expressed deep appreciation for witnessing her son’s academic achievement.
Now it’s time for mommy to shine. Carol has just been honoured with a doctorate, all the way in the United States. The former actress and affluent businesswoman, is now going by the title, Dr, and she earned the stripes.

Carol is one of the most inspirational women we have in SA. She started off as an actress, and went to host many important national television shows. These includes Ms South Africa, the national lottery and her own women’s talk show which focused on pertinent women’s issues called Motswako.
Carol also gained significance as a UNICEF SA Special Advocate for Women and Children. Her advocacy work saw her speak at the UN in 2017 and in 2018 at a UN General Assembly side event with the Canadian Minister. She is also a businesswoman running a property portfolio with her husband.
