South African Social Media Awards 2025 Judges Announced. A week ago the South Africa Social Media Awards dropped their 2025 nominees. The likes of Ashley Ogle, Lasizwe Dambuza, Grace Mondlana, Tyla, Black Coffee and Zee Nxumalo are among those who bagged nods.
On more developments, the SASMAS have just announced their judges for this year’s awards. One of them is Karen Mthethwa. whose radio journey started in Sandton at Boston Media House through the Bonang Matheba Bursary Fund. Five years later, together with other hopefuls she joined season III of the Switch Be The Next Presenter Search. After much deliberation, the station picked their top 5 contenders. Among those were Bokang Jiyane, Norman Nhlapo, Karen and Mukundi Mudau. Their next challenge was to co-host The Lunch League with Fresh by Caddy and Yvette Floss. As expected they nailed their tasks, but there could only be one winner, and it was Karen.
Another judge is Liyema Pantsi, from Big Brother Season 4 fame. Since her season ended, Liyema has been doing amazing things in the music industry. Recently he won two awards at the Basadi In Music Awards. The other judges are equally giants in their respective fields. They are, Dezz Lee, Poloko Global and Sinemivuyo Mpulu.
