“Please Don’t Vote for Me,” Lasizwe On His 3 SASMA Nominations. When fellow nominees are canvasing for votes, Lasizwe Dambusa is doing the opposite. He recently took to Instagram telling his fans to not vote for him on his three South African Social Media Awards nominations.
The media personality, YoTuber and overall entertainer is among the top two most nominated celebrities. He and Ashley Ogle has been nominated for three awards each. Lasizwe is battling it out with international stars in the African Social Media Star of the Year category. The category boasts the likes of Tyla, Black Coffee, Zee Nxumalo, Rango-tenge-tenge and Khaby Lame among other superstars. Furthermore, Lasizwe is also a nominee in the Most Popular Content Across Platforms and Social Media Personality of the Year categories.
Lasizwe has a chance of bagging at least one award. Better yet, he can be the most awarded looking at the fact that he has three nods. However, he is not about that life, and asked fans to not vote for him. Lasizwe reasoned that people d not have to spend their hard earned cash, just for him to get awarded. Being nominated, is already a win for him, as it shows that he is recognized among the best in the industry.
