Fans Excited As Thembinkosi Mthembu Bags Yet Another Lead Role In A New Telenovela. The expression, ‘Booked and Busy,’ resonates very well with him. Thembinkosi Mthembu is never short of acting gigs, and his fans loves this for him. He is currently sating his role on Shaka iLembe season II as Dingiswayo.
Many remember the award winning actor on shows like Champions, The Republic, The River, Shaka iLembe, Outlaws and Adulting, among so many others. He has always nailed every role as it comes, and watching him on TV never gets tiring.
He is back with yet another role, making his fans go all crazy. Thembinkosi is part of Homecoming a new telenovela replacing Sibongile & the Dlaminis on Mzansi Wethu. Set in the rural town of Bergville, KwaZulu Natal, Homecoming is a story that speaks to so many South Africans. It is rich in emotion, grounded in culture and full of heart. Homecoming premieres on Monday the 28th July at 18:30, and it will air on Mondays to Wednesdays on Mzansi Wethu (DStv Channel 163).
Thembinkosi plays the interesting character of Sfiso Kubheka o Khathide, a policeman by day, who doubles as a traditional healer. His crosses paths with Zethu Hlongwane, (Six Nyamane), a straight-A medical graduate hoping to become one of the country’s few Black female surgeons. But when things don’t turn out how she had hoped, with no job or placement, she is forced to return to the village she left behind.
