Thabo Mkhabela Announces Latest Acting Gig. A few months back, a casting call was made to all aspiring actors out there. Actors of different ages, were needed for a new fun varsity comedy film called, Limpopo Love Games. They received many applicants, and only the best were chosen for the available roles.
Among those who bagged themselves a role is Thabo Mkhabela. The talented actor, just took to social media to share the great news. Not only is Thabo and actor in the film, he also served as a coach and casting director. He has however not revealed his role in the film. Other notable actors cast on Limpopo Love Games include Scandal!‘s Mikateko Hlanbangwane, Skeem Saam‘s Brendan Maphake, Gina Makgoba and Kenny Ramashala.

Thabo made a name for himself playing the iconic Leshole Mabitsela in the popular SABC 1 daily drama Skeem Saam. Leshole came from a trouble background, but worked hard despite the odds. He eventually became a pilot, and living the life of his dreams in Cape Town.
The 32-year-old actor also recently joined the third season Isitha. He plays Tiga, a role that was originally played by the late Ebenhaezer Dibakwane. He auditioned on March 22 and received a call that he had landed the role after a week. His first day on set was March 31.
He recently said in an interview that after years on Skeem Saam, the new character offered him a chance to showcase his range as an actor. Just like any other actor, Thabo wants to explore other roles or challenges. Tiga is completely different from Leshole. He is a jolly person, there isn’t a hint of shyness from him; obviously, he is the opposite of what Thabo has played before.
