Sad Note: Legendary Actor Presley Chweneyagae Passes Away. It is with deep sadness that we learn of the passing of Presley Chweneyagae. The multi-award winning actor passed away aged 40. At the moment details surrounding his passing has not yet been shared.
This is yet another blow to the acting fraternity, as Presley was among the best actors to come out of the country. He is known for his iconic role in the iconic movie, Tsotsi playing a troubled young gangster. The part earned him the Golden Horn Award in 2006 and put him up there as one of the great actors. He also starred in the multi-award winning telenovela The River, where he played the much loved, Cobra/Cobrizi. Presley stars in the 13-episode drama series Cobrizi, a continuation of his character from The River.
Since the news broke condolence messages and heartfelt tributes have been pouring from fans, colleagues, media houses and leaders. The likes of Fikile Mbalula, BI Phakathi, Tumi Sole, have joined in the thousands of mourners remembering Presley.
