Levels! Tyla Bags A Major International Awards Hosting Gig. From winning international award to now hosting them, it can only be Tyla. The South African music sensation continues to make waves on the international space and we love it for her.
Tyla has just been announced as this year’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. This is another record for the Grammy Award winning artist, as she becomes the first African ever to host the globally celebrated award event. At the same awards, Tyla has also been nominated in the Favourite Global Music Star and Favourite Music Collaboration categories.

This year’s nominations are led by Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar with four nods each. The show will be simulcast across multiple networks, including Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, the Nick Jr. channel, MTV2, CMT, and on Nickelodeon channels worldwide.
Reacting to the gig, Tyla said, “I’m really about to host the kids choice awards.”
The 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards are set to take place in Santa Monica, California, on June 25.
South Africans have always represented us well at the Kids’ Choice Awards, ours stars have always shone at the event. In 2018, Natasha Thahane did an amazing job corresponding for Nick Africa. The talented actress interviewed kids stars from all over the world on the red carpet.
