Zanele Potelwa Shares the Prayer That Changed Her Life. For a couple of years now, Zanele Potelwa has been making major career moves. From hosting major events and award ceremonies to interviewing international stars, she has smashed many goals in a short period of time.
Zanele also gets major recognition from her work. Just the other day she was named The Next Big Thing at the SA Style Awards. These particular awards celebrate individuals who have in their respective career fields disrupted the creative process of business. Zanele expressed gratitude to God, her mentors, bosses, colleagues, friends, family, the media, clients and collaborators.
On a more elaborate post, Zanele has opened up about her spirituality, and how it has contributed to her success. The media personality shared a prayer, that she believes has shaped her career. On the prayer, she asked for her God’s will to be done.
“I have SUCH A LONG way still to go in this journey of my career and my life as a whole and thankfully I have Jesus guiding me, cause life is wild but THIS prayer? It was such a turning point in my journey. I was always praying to God for things to happen like this and like that and to ask for that thing, or the other or for things to happen like THIS, or to be able to buy that, or for that TV show now or that radio show then, up until the disappointments made me realize I wasn’t in control, but the one who knew BEST was. I surrendered my journey to HIM and things were never the same,” Zanele said.
“When I saw why He wanted to do things HIS way, it was well worth it!!! Yes because He is able to do EXCEEDINGLY more than we can imagine – what a GENEROUS Father. But mostly because I had peace of the fact that the MOST HIGH was orchestrating my life and even when things didn’t go the way I hoped? I was still winning because JESUS knew what He was doing. Oh to have a savior who knows BEST!!! (And oh yes!!! It ALSO Took putting in the work I.e. doing what God had put in my hand at the time AND then obedience) Jeremiah 29:11 For HE knows the plans He has for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us 🥹❤️Plans to give us a hope and a future🥹I’ll sing your praises forever and a day Lord Jesus ❤️🙏🏾 (I say ALL of this as in imperfect human, who makes mistakes, who gets impatient every now and again with God’s plan, doesn’t ALWAYS do the right thing, but tries my best and hopes and tries to make God proud – But I have a saviour whose grace abounds so deeply and one who gave His life for me – love you Jesus – and paid the price for my imperfect ways ❤️🙏🏾 so I get up and try every day and continue to work out my salvation ❤️🙏🏾hoping to be more like HIM every day ❤️🙏🏾) Thank you Lord Thanks to my best friend!!! Jesus and so the journey continues,” she added.
