Lerato Nxumalo Returns to Acting With A New Role. Congratulations are in order for Lerato Nxumalo, who has just bagged a new acting role. The talented actress has joined the stellar cast of new Mzansi Magic telenovela, Genesis.
Lerato acclaimed to fame, when she played the beautiful and focused medical intern, Dr Luthuli on Durban Gen. During the lockout, she posted a self-tape to Durban Gen, and soon after, she got a call inviting her to come in for an audition. She left the drama, to play Mpumi Cele in the 1Magic serial Lingashoni. In April 2023, Lerato bagged the role of Phakamile Mdletshe in Scandal! As the elder sister of Nqobile (Zekhatho Zondi) and Mbuso, Phakamile, did everything to provide for her siblings, even selling her body.
It has been a minute since she exited Scandal!, but now she is back with a bang. Lerato is the new addition to Genesis, making her fans all proud. Genesis, features stars like Baby Cele, Buyile Mdladla, Gaosi Raditholo, KB Motsilanayne and Nay Maps.
Besides her acting career, Lerato is one of the most successful YouTube content creators in the country. Back in February this year, she celebrated her YouTube channel, Life With Lerato, reaching 150K YouTube subscribers. The platform now has a whopping 172k subscribers, and it grows by the minute.
On her channel, Lerato posts relatable content, as well as her wins and travels. She has so far shared content about her engagement, living alone, baecation and her fiance being in the country towards the end of 2024. People just love her content, and the growing numbers are proof of that.
