Lady Du Expresses Gratitude for Condolence Messages After Losing Her Father. A few days ago, Lady Du took to social media to announce the passing of her father. Popularly known as DJ Choc Ngwenya, the musician died at the age of 51.
The award winning musician and entrepreneur described her father as a pioneer, as story teller as well as a pillar in the community. Adding on, Lady Du, spoke of her father’s influence which has stretched across generations and different genres. She did not disclose the cause of death though. However, Lady Du on behalf of the family asked for privacy as they come to terms with DJ Choc’s passing.
“It is with deep sorrow and immense respect that we confirm the passing of South African music legend, DJ Choc Ngwenya,” she wrote.
Three days after the sad news, Lady Du has returned to social media with another update. She regards the past few days as the toughest of her life. This is because she lot someone she was really close with. She also thanked everyone for their messages and support.
“Day 3 of the most toughest days of my life. Baba we were so close now. God why would you hurt me like this 
To everyone that has supported me and sent messages i thank you 
Im a mess right now. I wont be myself for some time i ask you to understand and respect that. God bless you, i ask that you respect and love your families. We are living in borrowed time. ,” Lady Du said.
