The Nomzamo Lighthouse Foundation has provided bursaries, scholarships, stationery, capital for business owners among other things.
Recently, the foundation celebrated the winners of the EmpoweringHer 2024 Business Awards Seminar. The three winners, bagged money as well as machinery and equipment. One of the recipients who came third is Dudu M, a woman in the male dominated coal mining industry. She was awarded a whopping R100k cash injection, and some equipment for her business.
The first prize went to MH Automotive Engineering. The Multi Award Winning Automotive Supplier is 100% Black Female Women Youth Owned. Over 90% of their workforce is made up of people under the age of 35. MH Automative Engineering’s other achievement is being nominated as one of the Forty under 40 South Africa young business leaders.
The company has just bagged more bragging rights after coming first at the EmpoweringHer 2024 Business Awards Seminar. Nomzamo has hailed the founder, Mpho, as one of the most impressive women she has ever met. She pocketed R200k towards her business.
