Nomzamo Awards Businesswoman R100k and Machinery

Nomzamo Awards Businesswoman R100k and Machinery. Since its inception in 2015, the Nomzamo Lighthouse Foundation has helped many people out there achieve their dreams. There has been bursaries, scholarships, capital for business, and any kind of assistance that can take one from point A to point B.
Recently, the foundation ran by Nomzamo Mbatha celebrated the winners of the EmpoweringHer 2024 Business Awards Seminar. One of the recipients was Dudu M,a woman in the male dominated coal mining industry. She came third and this saw her getting R100k cash injection, and some equipment for her business.
“Dudu is our 3rd Prize winner at the @nomzamo_lighthouse #EmpoweringHER 2024 Business Awards and seminar whose business is Coal manufacturing and distribution of timber. After 3 hours on the road from Johannesburg to Mpumalanga we arrived to a woman at work at her plant. Her motivational letter and entry form had detailed how she needed machinery, equipment and cash investment to grow her business. Together with Hollywood Foundation this became a reality,” Nomzamo said.
She also encouraged more people to apply for the initiative when applications open this year. “I hope that when we open applications this year, you know of a woman founder or you’ll bet on yourself and we can seed into your business in a meaningful way,” she added.
