1. Edward Nkhumishe attended Lehlabile Senior Secondary School. He completed his matric in 2016.

2. His journey into acting began with a deep love for theatre. Edward’s dedication to the craft led him to perform in various productions at notable venues such as the Johannesburg Market Theatre.

3. Edward self-taught himself acting under the mentorship of the likes of Joseph Komani, Ndiyathemba Modibedi and Inkaba Creative Art House before moving to Pretoria in 2015 to pursue his career.

4. One of his standout theatre performances was in the play Ruined, which showcased his ability to embody complex characters.

5. In 2024, Edward joined the cast of hit etv show Scandal!. He plays the character Poet, also referred to as Poet. Poet is the boyfriend of Thoriso More, whose father disapproves of their relationship due to Poet’s artistic and poetic nature. The father eventually gave in, and Poet and Thoriso recently got married.

6. This is not Edward’s first TV acting gig. He was also on The River, nailing his character to perfection, as one of the miners.

7. Another role that he played is that of Vuyo on Showmax’s The Republic season II. Edward also played Kagiso on Paul Grootboom’s film Sheba
