South Africa Mourns Award Winning Actress Crystal-Donna Roberts. On another sad note, the country mourns another talent. Crystal-Donna Roberts passed away this morning after a battle with breast cancer. She was only 40 years of age.

Roberts graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Theatre from the University of the Free State in 2005. A year later, she moved back to Cape Town where she briefly worked as a high school drama teacher before pursuing acting as a career. She has been in the industry for well over a decade. The award winning actress is best known for playing Janine in the SABC2 soapie 7de Laan. She also made a mark for her roles in the films The Endless River (2015) and Krotoa (2017).
