Thandy Matlaila Returns to Acting With A New Role. It has been a minute since we have seen her on the small screen. The good news is that Thandy Matlaila is back on the small screen, doing her first love, which is acting.
The talented actress, TV personality and fitness enthusiast has just joined Muvhango in a brand new role. Thandy plays Naomi Mayambela, a nurse who is definitely here to shake things up. According to Thandy, Nurse Mayambela is relatable, and she and Dr Khalema (Nicholas Nkuna) will have viewers glued to their screens.

Thandy is best known for her starring role as Lindiwe Ngema on the SABC1 drama series Tshisa, from 2006-2013. In 2008, she bagged a role as Patricia on the SABC1 mini-series uGugu no Andile.
In 2011 Thandy joined two SABC1 drama series: Intsika (playing Nonhle) and Soul City 11, playing Nurse Rosie. In 2015 she played Happiness on e.tv telenovela Gold Diggers and Smangele on Rhythm City. The following year, Thandy joined hit Mzansi Magic telenovela The Queen as Cleo, until 2018.
In 2019 she landed the recurring role of Lahliwe on the 1Magic / Mzansi Magic drama series iThemba. The following year Thandy had another recurring role, as the younger version of Thembi (played by Tina Jaxa) in the Mzansi Magic soccer drama Vula Vala.
