Vacancy: Trainee Assistant Operators

Offering opportunities to matriculated candidates who are interested in learning about the paper making process.

This is a wonderful opportunity for matriculates to secure an entry level position in which we will be able to provide you with work specific training lasting 18 – 24 months during which your performance will be assessed before possibly securing a permanent position.

Minimum Requirements

Matric with subjects Maths and Science

Job Specification

Trainees must be prepared to assist with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: the cutting of wires off paper bales, cleaning and dusting off of machine panels, sweeping and hosing floors, the pulling and/or feeding of broke (off cuts of paper), strapping and stenciling of paper reels, assisting at various sections in the paper mill, etc.

KEY COMPETENCIES / SKILLS

Willing and prepared to work hard and long hours (shift work)

Must be self-motivated

Prepared to learn new skills

Show initiative

Have good verbal and communication skills
