Abandoned Mzansi Coming Back for Another Season. This is one wholesome show as it attempts to reunite children with their long-lost or unknown parents. Through Abandoned Mzansi, many families have been reunited, and emotional wounds have been healed.

The show is hosted by seasoned TV personality and actress, Phumeza Mdabe. At some point she also used the services of Abandoned to look for her father. Phumeza’s father, who is White, abandoned her at birth, and never wanted to do anything with her. Her mother passed away when she was in Grade 10 and her step father, who treated her as his own, stepped in and played the role of both parents to Phumeza and her three siblings.

Her biological father denied her at birth, and has never been a part of her life. Phumeza only met him once in her teens. She then took the bold decision to shared her sad story on Abandoned, TV on the final episode of season. All that she wanted was for her children to know their German roots. After coming across his address, Phumeza went to her father’s house in Eastgate, Johannesburg. She was sadly met with hostility, and her dad didn’t even bother to come and meet her.

In a pleasant twist of events, Phumeza and her dad reconciled two years later. She shared an emotional video with her dad. This just shows that the show, and the spirit of forgiveness does wonders. Now Phumeza is inviting others in the same situation to write to Abandoned Mzansi. She has just shared on her Instagram stories that Abandoned is coming back to our screens for season IV. At the moment the show is looking for those individuals who wants assistance to be reconnected with their parents, or adult children.
