Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh Gushes Over His Wife Bagging a PhD. This is what they mean by ‘Birds of the same feather flock together.’ Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh has a PhD from Oxford, which is the highest possible academic degree. Now his wife Sumaya Hendricks has just bagged the same accolade. Talk about an intellectual tag team!

Taking to social media, Sizwe expressed how proud he is of his wife. The university lecturer, podcaster, author, musician and activist posted pictures of his wife in her graduation gown. He also joined her in one of the pictures, also rocking his graduation gown.

“There are now two PhDs in the house. Congratulations to DOCTOR Sumaya Hendricks! So proud of you! 😁❤️📚🎉,” Sizwe said proudly.

Sizwe and Sumaya have been married for 12 years, and are still going strong. In April 2022, they welcomed their son Hakim Thembekile.
