Scandal! Pays Tribute to Their Late Crew Member Who Died On Set. Crew members maybe working behind the scenes, but they are as important as those who appear on screen. They perform various tasks behind the scenes to ensure efficient operations within a team, typically within the entertainment industry.

A few days ago, Scandal! lost one of its crew members, Gary Megit. The 50 year-old vision controller, is said to have been injured while moving equipment, and passed away in hospital. The e.tv soapie has thus released a statement, paying tribute to Gary. They expressed their grief, and sent condolence message to his family.

We are saddened by the loss of our dear crew member, Gary Megit, after a tragic on-set accident. Our hearts go out to Gary’s family. He was cherished, and his loss will be felt by all who worked with him. He will remain in our hearts forever. #GoneButNotForgotten,” Scandal! wrote.

His sister Sandra Megit took to Facebook to express her grief. She describes Gary as an amazing brother, who still had so many lives to touch.

5 Days ago you shared our beautiful friendship memory on Facebook. Who would have thought the very next day we would loose you!!!! Gaz my amazing brother you didn’t deserve this and you had so many lives to still touch with your beautiful soul. Nobody could predict that a stupid accident at work would cause our world to come crashing down,” she wrote.

Gaz, your heart and soul was priceless, pure, genuine and beyond unique – there was only one of you. Your happiness was contagious and you were truly a kid at heart. You had an endless amount of love to give and a deep desire to always help. Words fail me to express what a phenomenal person you were,” she added.

Sandra also shared that the family is in shock and disbelief regarding his passing. She however, holds on to the memories they have created. Sandra is also proud that Gary is going to save lives, by virtue of being an organ donor.
