The latest personality to bag an international gig is Thabang Molaba. The talented actor and musician has just bagged a role in the hugely popular Now You See Me franchise. Thabang will star on Now You See Me 3 an upcoming American heist thriller film. Filming on the heist sequel has now wrapped, and the release date has also been dropped. Principal photography began in July 2024, in Budapest, with George Richmond serving as the cinematographer. Filming took place in Antwerp, Belgium from August 28 and was wrapped on November 18, 2024.
The film features Jesse Eisenberg, who will reprise the role of arrogant illusionist J. Daniel Atlas. There is also Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, and Morgan Freeman reprising their roles from previous films. How cool is it that our vert own Thabang is part of the star studded cast. He did not say much about his role, but did however confirm that, yes, he has been cast on the film. Fellow actors such as Thapelo Mokoena, Nambitha Ben-Mazwi, Simphiwe Ngema, Sandile Mahlangu and Bontle Modiselle congratulated Thabang.
Now You See Me 3 is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 14, 2025.
