Miss Universe South Africa Rallies Behind Other African Queens After Mia Le Roux’s Exit
Miss Universe South Africa Rallies Behind Other African Queens After Mia Le Roux’s Exit. Over the years, South Africa has done incredibly well in the Miss Universe pageant. The beloved Zozibini Tunzi, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and Margaret Gardiner have won the pageant in 2019, 2017 and 1978 respectively. Other local beauty queens have also done impressively well at the beauty pageant.
As soon as it was announced that Mia Le Roux was going to represent South Africa this year, massive support went out to her. The nation rallied behind our Miss South Africa, and she too on the other hand worked hard for the title. Mia has been really pushing, nailing her interviews and mingling with other beauty queens. The beauty queen has also been serving some looks, in gorgeous outfits, showing the world what South Africa is made of.
Sadly his morning South Africa and the rest of the world woke up to the news that Mia will no longer participate in Miss South Africa 2024. This according to an official statement from Miss Universe SA, this is because of some health complications. An updated statement revealed that Mia, within the past two weeks has been suffering from severe vertigo. Since deafness affects balance, she has been battling with vertigo for some time, making it difficult for her to progress.
Our hopes are now on other African queens to make the continent proud. Miss Universe South Africa has thus shown support to the remaining African contestants. The organization is behind the likes of Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Mauritius and Brandina Lubuli among others. A shout out was also sent to Miss Jamaica, who has turned into Mia’s now good friend. Miss Fiji, Mia’s roommate was also given a special shout out.
