Carol Bouwer Congratulates Miss World Africa Lesego Chombo On Her Parliamentary Seat In Botswana. It’s a big day for the neighboring Botswana as their new president, Duma Gideon Boko got inaugurated today. Heads of States, political leaders, prominent leaders and the general public gathered at the Botswana National Stadium for the special day.

This is history for Botswana, seeing a new political party win elections fro the first time since their independence in 1966. Batswana are anticipating to see changes from their youthful leader Boko. The incoming president has also included young leaders in positions of leadership, one of them being Lesego Chombo.

The former Miss Botswana and current Miss World Africa has been appointed as a member of parliament in the country’s new administration. 26-year-old Chombo is among the six specially elected MP, who was recently unveiled.

β€œI believe that all of my experiences, my qualifications as an attorney, even my experience as Miss World Africa and Miss Botswana, as a young person, really make me qualify,” Chombo said.

Among those who congratulated Chombo on her new role is Carol Bouwer. Chombo and the businesswoman have quite a special relationship. Carol has invited the beauty queen for special events such as Miss World South Africa. Chombo was one of the hosts at the prestigious event.
