Red Carpet Hosts for South African Music Awards Revealed. The awards season is here, and we love every minute of it. Just this past Saturday, we got served the South African Film and TV Awards, and they were nothing short of spectacular. Just before them, were the DStv Content Creators Awards.
In just a few days, the entertainment industry will soar at the highly anticipated South African Music Awards. The SAMAs as they are called have been recognizing and celebrating the South African music industry since 1995. The annual event honours the country’s finest music talent over two days in key categories, as they battle for the South African industry’s highest honour – a statuette at the South African Music Awards.
Taking care of the red carpet event are two of some of the most amazing entertainers of our time. They are actor and TV personality S’phesihle Vazi as well as TV personality Kuhle Adams. The two have been doing very well in previous award events, and it goes without saying that they are going to shine at the SAMAs.
The red carpet will be live from 19:30
Among those who will receive recognition is Oscar “Oskido” Sibonginkosi Mdlongwa. The legend will receive the prestigious RiSA Chairperson’s Award. This is in acknowledgement of his extraordinary contributions as a music executive, producer, entrepreneur, and cultural pioneer. The iconic Afro-soul balladeer Ringo Madlingozi and gospel music trailblazer Sipho Makhabane have been announced as the honourees for SAMA30. Global singing sensation, Tyla will receive the International Achievement Award.
