Transnet: Graduate-in-Training Programme 2014
The Graduate in Training role is a development pipeline for key roles within Transnet Port Terminals. The programme seeks to place graduates in specific areas according to their academic background, career aspirations and TPT business requirements.
Qualification
- B.Comm degree / B.Tech (specialising in either Internal Audit, Risk Management, Forensics or Accounting)
- Previous work experience in compliance, risk management, forensics, internal or external audit related work would be advantageous
- Project management knowledge
Responsibilities
- Understanding and documenting systems and business processes• Determine compliance with Transnet policies, procedures and applicable legislation
- Identifying and assessing internal controls
- Performing follow ups on audit findings raised by auditors
- Assisting management in improving weaknesses in the systems of control
- Assist in the development, implementation and subsequent review and maintenance of standard operating procedures
- Preparation of reports documenting findings
- Identify key business risks
- Update risk registers in the Cura system
- Prepare Risk Management Reports
- Other adhoc duties
