Rising Star Lungelo Tyson Mathonsi Bags Lead Role In A New Netflix Film. Lungelo Tyson Mathonsi is in his winning era. The rising star has been bagging roles left right and centre, and we love this for him.
The talented actor and musician has made appearances on shows like Grown Woman and DiepCity. A few months ago he joined the cast of Mzansi Wethu’s Sibongile & The Dlaminis. Lungelo plays, Jabu Mazibuko, Sibongile’s employer and romantic interest. In August, he joined Muvhango, where he plays, Sakhile Ramabulana, the prodigal son of Dr Ximba and Avhatakali Ramabulana.
Now the man is back with yet another role. Lungile has been cast in a new Netflix film, Umjolo The Gone Girl. A couple’s seemingly perfect relationship falters when one of them learns about the other’s infidelity. The four-part Umjolo Film Collection, is set to explore the unique love lives of four women. The star studded film’s cast includes Sibongiseni Shezi, Gugu Gumede and Ntando Mncube.
Umjolo The Gone Girl premieres on 8 November 2024.
