The drama series, located in a typical township setting, focused on the daily lives of two families, the Sibiyas and the Molois. At the centre of the drama is the Tiger Boys, a soccer team tipped to win the league and move into the 1st division. Sjava, who is making waves in the music industry was one of the football players, known as Zonke.
Sjava has jumped in a conversation where tweeps are impressed by an old Zone 14 clip. In the clip Bazooka and Vuvu have come up with a diss song, to tell off Sting. Now the video is trending, because of the talent displayed. Sjava jumped in, saying he witnessed these songs being written just before shooting. The award winning musician and actor also added that they were not part of the script.
“Saw them write and prepare these songs in the morning before we start shooting and it was not part of the script,” Sjava said.
“The way Zone 14 was so real ngakhona some of the cast members ended up renting rooms on set we were shooting in Orlando east sebehlala khona even when were not scheduled to shoot on the day we will still go to work and chill the whole day and watch who ever is shooting on that day shoot and some of the cast were people from the community who have never acted before,” Sjava added.
