Sad Note: South Africa Mourns Yet Another Great Actor Sello Motloung. A few days ago South Africa was dealt a hard blow as they received the news of Darlington Michaels. The veteran actor best known for his role as Georgie “Papa G” Zamdela on Isidingo, passed away at 78.

Now we wake up to the news of another veteran’s passing. Sello Motloung passed away on Sunday, 15 September 2024, according to reports. For decades, he graced us with his talent, passion, and unwavering dedication. Sello made a name for himself as an actor, presenter, and MC renowned for his notable roles in TV series like Backstage, Mamello, and Ring of Lies, among other shows.

One of his closest friends in the industry Katlego Danke, penned a heartfelt tribute to him on social media. The heartbroken actress, describes Sello as her brother and friend. She opened up about her grief, and how she will miss Sello. Katlego also shared that 2024 is a year filled with loss and pain.

“This is proving to be a very difficult year. A year filled with pain and loss. I suppose we also have to remind ourselves of the gift and true celebration of life. Sello…my brother, my friend… I will miss you. I can’t believe I’m saying these words but RIP,” Katlego said.
