Skeem Saam Viewers Have Mixed Reactions Over Reports of A New Pitsi Maputla. 10 year-old, Lethabo Thangoane has been the boy behind the character of Pitsi Magongwa, for years on Skeem Saam. On a new advert though, it looks like the young actor has been replaced.
The Maputla family picture shows Thabo and Mapitsi holding a newborn baby, with a new Pitsi standing by the side. There is also another ad, showing the new Pitsi on their new home, rocking his Aprendo school uniform. Entertainment bloggers have also updated viewers that Lethabo is no longer with the SABC1 educational drama, and he is replaced by Realeboha Khotle.
It is not clear why Skeem Saam have replaced the actor. It could possibly be that Pitsi has now grown, and they have to show that with an older actor.

As it is always the case with the replacement of actors, these new developments have sparked a conversation on social media. Many viewers were starting to warm up to the old Pitsi, and will definitely have a tough time embracing the new one. Some however, feel the character now needs a stronger actor, as its is growing.
