Amanda duPont Having A Time of Her Life Mixing Business and Pleasure in Jamaica. Amanda duPont is currently in Jamaica for a great cause. The media personality and actress is attending the Greenpeace International, with global leaders, where deep sea mining is discussed.
As one of the speakers, Amanda spoke on behalf of fellow Africans, on how the initiative will benefit them. She also got to walk the streets, asking ordinary people questions about dark oxygen.
“In Jamaica 🇯🇲 with @greenpeace where global leaders are here to discuss deep sea mining. As an African I’m here to question who will benefit from this? Surely not Africans! Just a few corporations from the Global North are the frontrunners of this business. How is this industry going to benefit our people 🌍 I will be speaking on our behalf because times up where Africa has no voice,” Amanda said.
“What a way to have celebrated Pan-African Woman’s Day. Met with many delegates from different countries most notably South Africa representatives and Brazil running for secretary general of ISA this year!! So impactful to see woman in leadership and breaking through a male dominated leadership space,” she added.
Amanda also got to explore the beauty that is Jamaica. The well traveled celebrity, enjoyed some cool places, around town.
