Zinhle Takes A Moment to Congratulate Kairo On Her International Award Win. When you are surrounded by such greatness, there is no doubt that you too will win. Both of Kairo Forbes‘ parents are among the biggest names in the entertainment industry. She too is paving her own way, impressing the masses as she climbs up the ladder.
On Tuesday, 16 July, at a special watch session held at the II Grand Cinema in Monte Casino, Fourways, she was announced as the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards ‘Favourite African Kidfluencer award winner. Kairo battled it out with other local youngsters, being sibling musicians Biko’s Manna and Lethukuthula Bhengu, who won the award last year. Nigeria was represented by DJ Wysei, Wizkid’s eldest son Boluwatife Balogun and Dream Catchers Academy.
Kairo dedicated her award to her late dad, Kiernan AKA Forbes. Back in 2019, AKA won the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards for Favourite SA Star. He made history, becoming the first rapper to win the award. Tak about the apple not falling far from the tree.
Not only did Kairo made herself proud, her whole family is gushing over her. DJ Zinhle penned a sweet congratulatory message to her star baby. She congratulated Kairo as well as all the nominees in her category.
“A big congratulations to @kairo.forbes, @bikosmanna & all the nominees, you’re ALL winners & extraordinarily babies🥇❤️ We are super proud of you,” Zinhle said.
This is not Kairo’s first major award win. In October 2023, she won the Social Media Kid Influencer of the Year Award at the annual Social Media Awards.
