The businessman is charged alongside, former Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Zizi Kodwa. The case emanates from the state capture commission, which heard testimony that Kodwa was allegedly paid kickbacks by Mackay. Their charges form part of a probe into contracts worth more than R460 million that the City of Johannesburg awarded to EOH Holdings in 2016. The company was hired to upgrade and maintain the metro’s software systems. It’s alleged that the minister influenced the awarding of contracts to EOH in return for favours. During the state capture commission, it was revealed that his luxurious lifestyle was funded by the former EOH boss, Mackay.
As the news made its way to social media, many recognized Mackay as Sarah’s ex husband. They had a lavish wedding, which made headlines, their marriage, sadly did not last.
