SA Celebs Reveal the Political Parties They Are Rallying Behind. Many of our celebrities prefer to keep their political opinions private. This could be because they don’t want to be dragged for their choices or they don’t want to jeopardize their brands.
Having noted that, there are those who are bold in their choices. As we are only left with hours before the national general elections, quite a number of well known figures, have shared how their votes will go. It looks like it’s much easier for celebs to be open, when they support opposition.
The EFF, and MK have many well known supporters, who are not shy to be vocal about their standing. We have the likes of Babalwa Mneno, Fana Mokoena, Mmabatho Montsho, Linda Sibiya and Ringo Madlingozi, as proud EFF members. Umkhonto Wesizwe (MK Party) also has bold supporters. Although relatively new, the likes of Nota Baloyi, Zulu Boy, Papa Penny and Gareth Cliff are singing its praises.
The ruling party has also had celeb endorsers for years. As time went on, some like Pearl Thusi and Ntando Duma, pulled out. Still, there are some like Gogo Skhotheni, Penny Lebyane, Lillian Dube and many other behind the ANC.
