Check Out How SA Celebs Rocked the GQ Music Issue Launch. The highly anticipated GQ’s Music Issue third edition is finally here. To celebrate the iconic issue, GQ held and event that aligned with Africa Day on 25th May. The magazine collaborated with Hunters to bring this one-of-a-kind event to Johannesburg.
The event was hosted by the talented Sipho “Alphi” Mkhwanazi, and continued last year’s theme of African Royalty. The celebration featured a roster of South Africa’s finest performers, including Mandisi Dyantyis, Zee Nxumalo, Ntokzin, and Aymos.
The 1st cover for the June/July Music & Creativity Issue features the soulful maestro Samthing Soweto in collaboration with music services company Platoon. In the issue the versatile artist discusses why music is more than just notes and lyrics, dealing with imposter syndrome, fatherhood, and while, despite having record-breaking hits and sold out shows, it’s only the beginning of his musical journey.
