Keke Mphuthi Joins Hit Telenovela. It’s been a while since she bagged a major role. Keke Mphuthi fans will be happy that she is back, starring in the new Mzansi Magic telenovela, Champions.
Champions, tells a tale of ambition, power and challenging gender norms. The telenovela features A-list talent such as Sello Maake ka-Ncube, Tumisho Masha, Kgomotso Christopher and Jo-Anne Reyneke as lead cast members. It also introduces the breakout duo of Rethabile Mohapi and Minkie Malatji, who are quite talented in their own right.
Jo-Anne plays the role of Sne Modise, a resilient and ambitious woman in a male-dominated football empire. Battling the storm caused by sudden changes in her father, Washington Modise’s life, Sne is thrown into a series of challenges involving love and betrayal. While battling the intense drama, as the underdog, Sne stands at the top, determined to challenge the gender norms and lead the Soshanguve Giants FC to success. But the question remains: Can she come out on top in an arena where the rules of the game are constantly changing?
Another talented female has just joined the cast, and we can’t wait for her contribution. Keke plays the interesting role of Didintle Buthelezi, Didi is described as a submissive wife, mother, spicy PR agent, an above all, Sne’s nightmare. Well that is expected, since she is Zipho’s wife, that viewers have been eager to meet.
