As a leading voice in agricultural journalism, we are seeking a passionate and driven junior journalist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
As a junior journalist at Food For Mzansi, you will play a crucial role in supporting both our news and business development teams. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the research, writing, and editing of news articles, features, and business reports related to the agricultural industry.
- Conducting interviews with key stakeholders, farmers, and industry experts.
- Collaborating with senior journalists and editors to ensure the accuracy and quality of content.
- Providing support in the development and execution of business development initiatives.
- Monitoring industry trends and staying up to date with developments in agriculture.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in journalism or agricultural sciences.
- Strong language abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Curiosity and a keen interest in agricultural and agribusiness topics.
- Energetic and enthusiastic with a proactive approach to learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Basic understanding of agricultural practices and the agribusiness landscape.
