House of Zwide’s Brenda Mukwevho Bags Herself Yet Another Award Nomination
Hosue of Zwide’s Brenda Mukwevho Bags Herself Yet Another Award Nomination. When it’s your time, nothing can stop your shine. Brenda Mukwevho is one of those actresses, who has been in the game for years, but her recognition hasn’t been that much.
Many people remember the talented Brenda through her portrayal of Lufuno in the Venda drama series Muvhango. Lufuno was one of the worst villains who hated her sister-in-law Thandaza Mokoena (Cindy Dlathu) with passion. Her character was later killed off from the show through a murder storyline. Showing another side of her, Brenda then went on to do some impressive production moves behind-the-scenes of the SABC2 Venda drama.
Besides Muvhango, she has also had some acting roles that some people may not have taken much note of. Brenda was also a director on the successful e.tv drama series Rhythm City. She also landed a job as the Head Creative Director of Uzalo.
At the moment, she is doing her thing on House of Zwide, playing the role of Dorothy. She is the trusted house maid to the Zwide family. Dorothy also has her own storyline, as she is engaged to Molefe, a role played by Motlatsi Mafatshe.
After her contribution to this industry, Brenda is now getting the recognition she deserves. About a month ago, she bagged herself an award nomination in the South African Film & Television Awards. This is for her role as Dorothy. Just a couple of days back, Brenda got a nomination in the upcoming South African National Film & TV Awards. Both of these awards are for Best Supporting Actress. We wish her the best as she battles it out with her peers.
