The multi-award winning media personality stated that news is about consistency, familiarity and trust, hence sticking to a look is advisable. Anele is against sisters changing wigs ever now and then, as it affects the credibility of what the do.

Some agreed with Anele, giving examples of the likes of Leanne Manas, Mam Noxolo Grootboom and Mam Linda Gqomfa wore the same look back in the days. Just like Anele, they reason that changing looks constantly can be distracting.

Today Anele added that in newsrooms they keep black jackets in case there is a major death. “Can’t be mourning a person in yellow coat …. There is thought in everything hence people keep jobs for 30 years on the desk.”

As the debate continues, one legendary female news anchor added her view point. Claire Mawisa, who has been in the industry fro decades.
