Clement Maosa Reminisces About the Good Old Days With Friends
Clement Maosa Reminisces About the Good Old Days With Friends. As the saying goes, “Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs, the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what.”
This has proven to be quite true when it comes to some of our celebrity cliques. One can think of Clement Maosa, Musa Mthombeni, Andile Ncube and others who have maintained a cool friendship for years. Although they are not blood relatives, they are brothers that ride the waves of life together, no matter how exciting or difficult certain moments can be.
Sadly as life happens, they have lost some of their closets friends along the way. On the 28 April 2018 the group lost one of their own Akhumzi Jezile. The TV personality, actor and producer lost his life tragically in a car accident. Another member of the clique veteran sports analyst David Kekana passed away on August 25, 2019, after a prolonged battle with diabetes. Without a doubt this affected the other gents a great deal.
Clement has just taken to Instagram to remember those times when the group was still intact. He reminisced about their Tuesday movie night where they used to meet up at Sandton to catch a movie.
“So today I woke up excited like a kid about to go on a school trip, in my head I was convinced that after shoot I’m heading straight to Sandton city for our #tuesdaymovienight only to realize it ain’t a thing anymore….. you should have seen my disappointment but then I started reminiscing about the good old days. We were truly committed and not a single Tuesday missed, we would arrive an hour earlier for dinner and to catch up then discuss the movie afterwards and what to take from it,” Clement said.
The talented actor and musician also spoke about their hilarious naughty acts. He says sometimes someone would go back to walnut restaurant for a slice of cheese cake while some entered the cinema with illegal substances inside coffee cups.
“Depression was a foreign concepts to our minds because there was so much assurance and backup…. some weeks we would have very odd guests and I would be shocked how they made it to the list, but they we kept moving 😂🙆🏾♂️. Some nights I would be left with Davidoo and Mampho until the AMs coz we just didn’t want to leave. Some nights we would leave the cinema straight to Taboo until the sun is out and have an after party at Andicio by Rivonia. I have no idea who was in charge of guest list but almost everyone was featured from YOTV, ONE Gospel, Soccer Zone, Yizo-Yizo, 3talk with Neoleen Maholwana Sanqu to Isidingo the need you name it, if our Tuesdays were a reality show, we would be on season 10 by now with multiple awards.
HOW I MISS THEE….
Im not typing this with a sad face,” he concluded the heartwarming throwback.
