Connie Ferguson Pens a Heartfelt Gratitude to The Queen’s Cast and Crew Members. On the 1st of August 2016, The Queen aired its first episode. It explored the world of drugs, wealth, crime, soft life and so forth. From the get go, the telenovela proved that it was going to be a hit with viewers.
The Queen which is created and produced by Ferguson Films, is about a dedicated wife, mother and successful businesswoman who is forced to do the unthinkable when her husband’s secret comes to light.
Season I of The Queen came through with some of the best actors among them the veteran Sello Maake-KaNcube, Themba Ndaba, Connie Ferguson, the late Shona Ferguson, Zandile Msutwana Loyiso MacDonald, Dinoe Langa, SK Khoza, Vuyolwethu Ngcukana, Thembsie Matu, Sipho ManziniNatasha Thahane and so many others. Along the way the likes of Rami Chuene, Zenande Mfenyana, Joe Kazadi, Rapulana Seiphemo, Jessica Nkosi, Mbulelo Katse and Lorraine Moropa joined the cast.
Over the years, viewers started to have complaints about The Queen and its storyline. A lot of characters were killed and a number of talented cast members were fired every now and then. This put a bad light on Ferguson Films, and the media reported negatively about them. Nonetheless they soldiered on till today. Seven seasons later, the award winning telenovela is coming to an end, as it was cancelled in March 2022.
The producer Connie Ferguson, who also played the lead role of Harriet Khoza recently took to social media to bid farewell to the show. Mrs Ferguson gave credit to the actors as well as crew members who work behind the scenes to make sure viewers get a great show.
