IT Technician Wanted at Jacaranda FM

IT Technician Wanted at Jacaranda FM. We are looking for a dynamic IT technician to maintain our I.T. systems and support users. The IT technician will also assist with studio recordings and podcasts as well as outside broadcast and technical support for functions and meeting rooms.

Key Accountabilities

Operations:

• Perform first line I.T. support on laptops, macbooks, servers, desktops, NAS, multifunction printers and IP phones.
• Manage consumable stock, liaising with suppliers.
• Set up and assist with technology in all meeting rooms.
• Technical support for client engagements including ‘radio in a box.’
• Set up studios to record podcasts for inside and outside talent with mic, phone and zoom sources. Perform the recordings.
• Documenting of technical procedures to contribute to SOP documents.
• Assist with Outside Broadcast when necessary.
• Perform technical standby after hours when necessary.

Team Participation:

• Participates as a member of the technical  team.
• Contributes positively to the technical team and station.
• Execute any tasks that may reasonably be expected.
• Needs to work closely with programming team especially.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• NQF 4-6 depending on industry experience.

Experience:

• Minimum of two years in an IT and technical field.
• I.T. support, repair and installations including Windows and Mac.
• Microsoft cloud applications, printer configs and support, supplier liaison.
• Stock management and strong admin skills.
• Drivers license, Code 10 would be preferable.
