Pics! Check Out How Celebrities Out for The Woman King South Africa Premiere. In Thuso Mbedu‘s words, The Woman King South Africa premiere was nothing short of amazing! The film is officially out, and it goes without saying that it deserves all the hype it has been receiving in the past months.

As the local lead actress in The Woman King, Thuso found it fit to be home for one of the biggest nights of her career. She plays Nawi, an ambitious recruit, who together with Nanisca, (Viola Davis) General of the all-female military unit fought enemies who threatened to destroy everything they’ve lived for.

The multi-award winning actress acts alongside international stars, among them the renowned Viola Davis. Other local personality who are in the movie are actress Makgotso M, award winning TV personality and actor Siv Ngesi as well as Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi.

The Woman King has been received positively across the globe. The film opened at no.1 in the US domestic box office with $19-million, surpassing its projected $12M debut on a $50M (R888-million) budget. We can’t wait to see how it does in South Africa, as it drops today, the 30th of September.

As it is always the norm, they will always be those who are lucky enough to watch before the release date. On Wednesday evening some of our personalities and media personnel attended the premiere of The Woman King. Among those were Thuso herself, as well as her fellow cast members Sive and John Boyega.

Some of the celebrities spotted at the premier are Boity Thulo, Nokuthula Mavuso, Mbalenhle Mavimbela, Musa and Liesl Mthombeni. They all put their best fashion foot forward for the iconic evening.
