Levels! Thabile Ngwato and Thokozani Nkosi Launch 24 Hour Movie Channel. Back in 2019, DStv added another news channel, Newzroom Afrika. The 24 hour channel is the brain child of former news anchor Thabile Ngwato and television production entrepreneur Thokozani Nkosi of Eclipse TV.
Newzroom Afrika was the winning bidder in 2018 that was selected by MultiChoice to replace ANN7 and Afroworld View. The 100 % black owned channel which was officially launched on the 2nd May 2019, remains one of the most prominent news channels we have in the country.
The duo of Thabile and Thokozani is back again with another channel. They will be launching their 24/7 movie channel on the 27th of August. The channel is called is one that offers entertaining local and international movies 24/7, from big blockbuster hits to unforgettable cinema classics. The Movie Room will be on DStv channel 113.
According to Thokozani they will be carefully curating the line-up to cater for every mood, whether it’s edge-of-your-seat action you’re after, or the comfort of an old favorite. They also apply the unique perspective that they have become known for.
“We have just added another room to the Ngwato Nkosi Group of channels!
It’s new, it’s fresh and it’s coming to your screens soon,” Thabile announced in excitement.
