Gcina Mkhize Bags A Role In A Leading e.tv Drama. It’s great to see former Isibaya actors being absorbed in other shows. After the Mzansi Magic drama came to an end on the 2nd of April 2021, fans were really worried about their favorite actors.
Well, the good news is that most former Isibaya actors got jobs immediately after. The likes of Thembi Nyandeni, Abdul Khoza, Asavela Mngqithi, Sdumo Mtshali, Ayanda Borotho, Pallance Dladla, Thuli Thabethe and many others are doing amazing things on other shows.
Another former Isibaya cast member who is booked and busy is Gcina Mkhize. Many will remember her as Khanyi on all eight seasons of the Mzansi Magic drama, between 2013 and 2021. Gcina Mkhize has just joined the e.tv family, with a new role on popular drama Imbewu. The award winning actress will make her much anticipated debut on Thursday the 28th of July. Gcina took to her social media to share the news as she expressed her excitement.
Gcina plays Nozi who first enters the scene as the sole witness to a hit-and-run involving Zithulele Bhengu (Raphael Griffiths) and Sibongile which left a young girl dead. She then starts to blackmail Zithulele and presses him further for more money until he threatens her with a gun.
While she is just trying her luck and not hoping for much, she does squeeze R35,000 out of him. And with the evidence she has against Zithulele, it’s an amount he is very happy to hand over. Then later, she fuels Mzwandile’s suspicion that Zithulele may have been involved in his niece’s murder.
