The talented actor, model and musician plays the role of Amo, a photographer in his late 20’s who works as a freelancer for NFH. Amo has been in a relationship with one of the journalist Hlengiwe (Nqobile Khumalo) for quite sometime. Sadly for him, Hlengiwe fell in love with a new man, Dr. Nyasha Mugari (Jerome Galiao), and Amo was left in the cold. This did not sit well with him, and he did everything in his power to win back Hlengiwe. When he failed, he got so toxic that he plotted on murdering her and pinning it in Dr Nyasha.

This storyline ha had so many fans of Sandal! glued to their screens each and every weekday. This is partly because it is so relatable in our society. There are a lot of people who become bitter and quite dangerous once the other party ends the relationship. So many people, mostly women have lost their lives at the hands of partners who couldn’t handle the breakup.

Another reason, people love the storyline, is because of the quality of acting, more so from Rathebe. He killed the role of Amo, and made the whole thing look so real. As much as Amo is a man many would love to hate at the moment, we can’t take away the fact that Rathebe’s acting also made Amo a character to enjoy watching.
