Major League DJz Make Their Mark Internationally. When it comes to making waves internationally, South African personalities are up there. We have so many of our talents who are recognized among global stars. One can think of the likes of Black Coffee, Thuso Mbedu, Trevor Noah, Master KG, Pitso Mosimane, Quinton Fortune and so many others who represent South Africa in various fields.
The great thing about these stars is that, they haven’t lost their authenticity as South Africans to fit in, they have remained themselves throughout. We see this also with local musicians like Major League DJz, who have performed abroad quite a number of times. The award winning duo, has been taking the international scene by storm with Amapiano, and we are here for it.
Just recently, the Major League DJz got nominated at the 2022 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. They will be battling it out for the Favourite African Star alongside other South African artists, Focalistic, Major League DJz and Makhadzi.
Taking things a notch up, the duo have just announced that they are on the Coachella 2022, lineup. Talk about taking Amapiano genre to the world! The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will begin on Friday, 15 April and end on Sunday, 24 April 2022.
