Pearl Modiadie on How Life is for Her Being Off Radio
Pearl Modiadie on How Life is for Her Being Off Radio. Media personality jobs are not secure. One moment you are bagging great shows, the next one you are laid off, or the contract doesn’t get renewed. This year alone we have seen personalities like Loot Love, Mpho Letsholonyane and most recently Unathi Nkayi and Azania Mosaka leave leading radio stations.
Some left voluntarily, whereas others were let go by their employers. One of those whose contract was not renewed is Pearl Modiadie. The media personality was with Metro FM for a good six years, but unfortunately, this year’s radio reshuffling left her out in the cold. A few months after Metro FM, Pearl decided to take legal action against them after sexual harassment complaints she lodged against her former manager were not dealt with by the station.
As of yet, Pearl has not found a radio job, but here and there she bags hosting gigs. After sharing on Twitter that she enjoys the space that she is in, one tweep told Pearl that there are other radio job opportunities, listing Kaya FM as an example. Based on her response, it looks like Pearl is content with not being on radio for now. She has so much time to kill and can pamper herself.
“I’m actually enjoying my time off radio,” Pearl answered.
