My Top 10 Favorite Features on the Tecno Camon 17p

I have always been an avid iPhone user and transitioning to android was such a drag. This is because honestly I have always thought nothing comes close to what the Apple brand has to offer particularly camera wise but boy was I pleasantly surprised by the Tecno Camon 17p. It wasn’t the camera that first drew my attention after setting up the phone, but the massive screen size with great response and ease of use. Every time I opened an App or browser tab I couldn’t help but marvel at how great the user experience was. 

The biggest shock was that I had assumed that after setting up this phone I would use it here and there particularly for apps that only run on Android. I quickly found myself juggling between my iPhone 11 and the Tecno a lot more than I anticipated, with every use I couldn’t help but realize that I was spending more and more time browsing from the Tecno. This is because of the great speed and performance which is all due to the 6GB RAM and Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) processor . 

The screen was also such a joy to use and I guess that is because of a 6.8 inches size screen which is massive. It really gives you the space and real estate you need to do fun things like watching YouTube videos in landscape and mobile productivity like invoicing etc . Images looked really great particularly when reading news articles. I really loved the clean and premium look which is all thanks to the  1080 x 2460 pixels coupled with 395 ppi density. 

Whilst the camera was good , I was particularly blown away by the quality of images I was able to capture particularly when I added the Palma filter. I went to a wedding last weekend and I also took photos with the same feature and everyone on my social media thought I was the hired camera man. I have not yet used the storage enough to brag about it but at 128Gig space, I’m sure space won’t be a problem anytime soon. I also enjoyed the combination of  finger print and Face ID on one phone. My iPhone 11 only has Face ID which is a headache considering I’m mostly wearing my mask and I’m always forced to manually enter my password. The Tecno though, comes in handy with its finger print ID located right were you place your fingers when holding the phone which is such a convenience.

In summary I enjoyed this phone and I think for a phone selling for R3 799 its definitely value for money considering all the bells and whistles it comes with.
